The conversion of Neil MacDonald and Waylon Woolcock (RE:CM) from road cycling to mountain biking is undoubtedly one of the success stories of South African cycling.

Team RE:CM’s Neil MacDonald used his extensive road cycling experience to beat some of South Africa’s top mountain bike racers to win the inaugural B-Sure Life's a Journey Mountain Bike Race in Klerksdorp at the weekend.

Waylon Woolcock and Neil MacDonald finished first and second respectively in a clinical 1-2 finish for Team RE:CM at the Pennypinchers Die Burger Karoo-to-Coast mountain bike race between Uniondale and Knysna on Sunday.

Neil MacDonald and Waylon Woolcock of Team RE:CM used road cycling tactics to outsmart and then out-power their rivals to finish first and second respectively at the Nissan Trailseeker Down and Dirty in Centurion on Saturday.

Team RE:CM Waylon Woolcock and Neil MacDonald sent a strong message to the overall leaders when they sprinted to their third stage win in this year’s Fairbairn Capital/Old Mutual joBerg2c.

Neil MacDonald and Waylon Woolcock gave Team RE:CM the perfect entry into the sport of mountain biking when they won the first racing stage of the 2011 Fairbairn Capital Old Mutual joBerg2c mountain bike stage race on Saturday.
