Team South Africa’s Jean Spies reclaimed his African Continental Time Trial title and surprised himself when he grabbed the Scratch race win (for Got It Global) ahead of Team BCX’s Nolan Hoffman. Spies also went on later to claim the Elite Men’s gold in the Sprint Final on Wednesday afternoon.

U19 Women’s Road Race Champion, Ashleigh Parsons, has been swamped with school and homework since her return from Egypt in February, but is determined to focus as hard on her training ahead of the 2017 African Continental Track Championships, which takes place at the Cyril Geoghegan Velodrome in Durban, from 20-24 March.

Director of the World Cycling Centre Africa, Jean-Pierre van Zyl, will be hosting a Track cycling Training camp from 10-27 March 2017, which will run parallel to the African Continental Track cycling Championships at the Cyril Geoghegan Velodrome in Durban from 20-24 March 2017.
