Team bizhub's Ischen Stopforth and Catherine Williamson once again proved to be unbeatable at the Contego Wine2Whales stage race.

Wines2Whales Commissaires, Arno Neethling and Richard Durrant opted to cancel the third and final stage of the Contego Wines2Whales MTB Race due to dangerous conditions created by wet and windy weather experienced in the early hours of Sunday morning (13 November 2011).

Matthys Beukes and Dominic Calitz were two riders on a mission in Grabouw on Saturday, 12 November 2011 when they took on the second stage of the Contego Wines2Whales MTB Race powered by Maserati.  Making the 65km stage look like a breeze, Beukes and Calitz rode to victory in a time of 02hours42minutes06seconds.

Dominic Calitz and Matthys Beukes charged to victory in Grabouw on Friday, 11 November 2011, completing Stage One of the much anticipated Contego Wines2Whales MTB Race powered by Maserati in an impressive time of 03hours17minutes26seconds.

Spirits were high on Sunday, 06 November 2011 when over 700 mountain bikers crossed the finish line at Onrus Caravan Park after three days of magnificent mountain biking at the 2011 Contego Wines2Whales MTB Adventure powered by Maserati (Friday, 04 November 2011 – Sunday, 06 November 2011).

Ronel van Wyk and Ben Cronje of Team ASG Sport Solutions continued their winning streak on Saturday, 05 November 2011 taking gold in the mixed team category of the Contego Wines2Whales MTB Adventure powered by Maserati.

Exitement was high at Lourensford Wine Estate (Somerset West) on Friday, 04 November 2011 when 760 mountain bikers toed the line to be part of Stage One of the much anticipated Contego Wines2Whales MTB Adventure powered by Maserati.

Reigning men’s champions Louis-Bresler Knipe and Adriaan Louw will be faced with an epic battle when they return to the Winelands the weekend of 11 - 13 November 2011 to defend their title at the Contego Wines2Whales MTB Race powered by Maserati.

Mountain bike enthusiasts taking part in the 2011 Contego Wines2Whales MTB Adventure and Race will have a tough time keeping their eyes on the route this November with event organizers welcoming Maserati South Africa as the official presenting sponsor of this much loved event.
