Like the case in all the other races she won, Kleinhans demolished her opponents. On Saturday she beat Jane Nuessli by more than five minutes. Hanlie Booyens finished third.
Kleinhans has also won Attakwas, Barberton and Ride the Rock so far this year.
"I have never trained this hard before. We (Ariane and husband Erik) are living our sport at the moment. I knew that my form will be good, but you can never be sure how your opponents will perform or how the race will play out. I'm very happy that my efforts are paying off and that everything is working out. Erik hasn't been so lucky. And that makes me even more grateful that everything has been working out and that unlike Erik I haven't been struggling with mechanical problems. After being a rookie at the start of last year, it is nice to see the improvement."
After her victories at Barberton and Tulbagh, Kleinhans is the overall leader in the the series, that has been dominated by Yolande Speedy for the past few years. According to Kleinhans she really wants to win the series. "I want to be the strongest marathon racer in the country. If I can win the series I will be able to show my strength."
Kleinhans' team-mate Adriaan Louw won the men's race over 70km.
