Christiaan Kriek crossed the finish line in first place in only his second race with the Simple Green/Bike Religion team in America. Kriek was victorious in the Santa Barbara race over three laps of 46km each.

So close, yet so far for Kriek at Amashova
On Sunday at the Amashova Cycle Classic only 400 meters separated Christiaan Kriek (CSA Toyota) from the biggest victory of his short career as a professional cyclist. Nolan Hoffman (Tasol GT) won the Amashova (106km), but it was the break started by Kriek after less than 10km and only caught at 400m to the finish line that had the fingers talking on the social networks.
