Tough stage 6 for MTN Qhubeka at Tour De Langkawi

Team Mtn-Qhubeka’s Jacques Janse van Rensburg was chomping at the bit to tackle the sixth stage of the Tour de Langkawi in Malaysia, but luck was not on his side on the day.

Covering 1 415km over 10 stages, the Tour de Langkawi in Malaysia is one of Asia’s biggest cycling races. It attracts competitors from around the globe and is a favourite among many teams. This year’s event takes place from 24 February to 4 March.

MTN Qhubeka prepares to tackle Tour of Rwanda

Six athletes from Team MTN-Qhubeka set off on 17 November 2011 to Rwanda to take on the Tour of Rwanda. Jacques Janse van Rensburg, James Tennant, Loto Petrus, Dylan Girdlestone and Stanley Namanyane will ride for Rwandan-born teammate Adrien Niyonshuti as he seeks victory.

MTN-Qhubeka’s Reinardt Janse van Rensburg won the bunch sprint to the line to take victory at stage two of the Jayco Heral Sun Tour in Geelong, Australia. The 22-year old South African rider edged out Baden Cooke (Saxo Bank-Sunguard) and Steele Voff (Genesys) to the finish line on the slight rise, claiming his biggest career victory to date.
