Robyn de Groot got the year off to triumphant start for her Momentum Toyota team when she sprinted to victory from a small breakaway group to win The New Fast One 106km road cycling race on Sunday.

After 3 months of racing in Europe, Nashua Toyota's Robyn de Groot claimed the win at the Bestmed Campus to Campus in Vanderbijl Park, after a nasty crash 50km's into the race.

Midvaal Vets and Ladies Tour: Cycle Lab Vets 40+ dominate Stage 1
The Cycle Lab Vets 40+ team dominated proceedings during the first stage of the Spar Midvaal Vets and Ladies Tour. Going from the gun it was the trio of Werner Moolman, Bruce Diesel and Andrew McLean who swept up all before them including the Vets 30+ field eventually finishing the stage over 14 minutes ahead of the field.

De Groot bounces back to win Herald VW Cycle Tour
After having to settle for the silver medal at the South African road race championship in Port Elizabeth on Saturday, Robyn de Groot (Nashua Toyota) bounced back on Sunday to win the Elite women’s title at the Herald VW Cycle Tour.

Van Der Merwe is new SA Women's Road Champ
Marissa van der Merwe (Team USN) became the 2011 South African Elite women’s road race champion when she outsprinted a small group to win the 86km race in Port Elizabeth on Saturday. Robyn de Groot (Nashua Toyota) and Cherise Taylor (Team USN) claimed the silver and bronze medals respectively.

Nashua Toyota dominate podium at the DVT Cape Cobra
The women started the 80km race with the vets men 40 plus. The first big break came on the Vishoek climb breaking the bunch into two main groups with the top womenin the first group. The chasing group managed to rejoin the main bunch 15km into the race.
