'The Hoff' Starts Well at SA Track Champs

South African cycling hero Nolan Hoffman got the all new CSA KZN All Africa Challenge underway at Alexandra Park Track on Thursday morning at the 2012 SA National Track and Para Cycling Championships with a display of relentless domination in the elite men’s category.

South African Sprint sensation Nolan Hoffman delivered the performance of his life when he clinched a silver medal in the 15km scratch race at the 2012 UCI Track World Champs opening evening in Melbourne (AUS) on Wednesday 4th April.

The 24th Ride for Sight took place on Sunday, 12th February 2012. Almost 5700 cyclists took to the roads of Boksburg to raise money in the fight against retinal blindness. The Elite and Under 23, 116km main event was won by Arran Brown of MTN Qhubeka in a scintillating time of 02:30.

SA Track Stars on Track in Beijing

Nolan Hoffman and Bernard Esterhuizen turned in solid performances at the recent Beijing round of the 2011-2012 UCI Track Cycling World Cup presented by Samsung, the 3rd of the four leg series.  The racing took place from 12th to 15th January.

Nolan Hoffman of Tasol GT marked his return to the 114th edition of the Paarl Boxing Day Track event with a dominant win in the blue ribbon event, the 25 miler. Hoffman was swamped by adoring fans after his remarkable win.

Seven South African road cyclists have travelled to Mozambique as part of a 200-strong South African team representing eighteen sporting disciplines at the 2011 All Africa Games, taking place in Maputo.  The duration of the Games, which happen every four years, is from 3rd to 18th September.
