House of Paints rider Dean Edwards and his Italian partner walked away with the laurels at yesterday's MTN Club 100 Madison Classic. Edwards, who competed at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, paired with Olympian and multiple Italian Champion Fabio Masotti for the event. Cycle Nation interviewed the pair at track side.

The 2010 MTN Club 100 Madison Classic was held at the Hector Norris Park cycling track on Saturday 27th November. There was a great turnout with some road race regulars mixing it with seasoned track campaigners. There was also the likes of 8 time Italian Champion Fabio Masotti who paired with Durbanite Dean Edwards.

The big one is a week away and everybody is cramming in the last bit of training. With the demise of the popular Bakwena the 2 Province Cycle Challenge was the only big race left to attend.

“The biggest race in central South Africa” saw some of the Gauteng riders make the trip down to Bloemfontein.

For Mervin Scorgie of New Horizons this would be race 3 of the weekend (perhaps that would prove to be one too many), for a handful of others it would be race 2 and perhaps just the right formula for a WIN!

It’s back! The MTN Club 100 Madison Classic will be serving up an afternoon of exciting track racing like no other event on the South African cycling calendar. The 2nd annual MTN Club 100 Madison Classic will be taking place on Saturday the 27th November at Hector Norris Park in Johannesburg at 12h00.
