It was a cold morning that greeted cyclists at the Tarlton International Raceway and judging by the way cyclists were dressed it was clear that winter had arrived...

Newly formed FJR Women's Cycling team had their first taste of success at the recent Wilro 100 held at the Tarlton International Raceway. Durbanite Isabel Moolman who joined the Pretoria based outfit at the beginning of the year put in a big effort on the home straight to snatch 3rd place in a sprint finish.

One of the first races of the year, a gentle trundle along the rolling drags of the Vaal Triangle region. Some big names were out on the course with Sky's Chris Froome making an appearance in the Deep South.

The 113th running of the annual Paarl Boxing Day Track meet took place at the Fraure Street Stadium in Paarl in front of a capacity crowd. The 25 Mile race is the oldest of it's kind in the country and lists among it's ardent fans none other than Springbok coach Peter De Villiers who has been coming to the event for the past 15 years.

The 2 Provinces Cycle Challenge took place at the Oppenheimer Sports Stadium in North West Province on Sunday. It was a flat and fast affair with big rolling bunches being the order fo the day.
