The second annual Cycling South Africa Youth Festival will take place in Oudsthoorn from 25th to 28th June. The format and regulations for the 2012 event will be similar to that of the 2011 Oudtshoorn Youth Festival except the disciplines catered for will be Road cycling, Mountain Biking, and Para-cycling.

Cycling South Africa’s Track Commission has great pleasure in announcing that the following riders have been selected to represent South Africa at the UCI Juniors Track World Championships in Invercargill, New Zealand from 22nd to 26th August 2012.

Cycling South Africa’s Annual General Meeting took place in Pietermaritzburg today following the successful hosting of the inaugural CSA KZN All Africa Challenge, encompassing the three cycling disciplines of SA National BMX Championships, SA National Track and Para-cycling Championships and the All Africa MTB Challenge.

SA Track Stars on Track in Beijing

Nolan Hoffman and Bernard Esterhuizen turned in solid performances at the recent Beijing round of the 2011-2012 UCI Track Cycling World Cup presented by Samsung, the 3rd of the four leg series.  The racing took place from 12th to 15th January.

Cycling South Africa reports that the outcome of the forum meeting called by SASCOC (South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee) today in Johannesburg between SASCOC senior representatives and the CyclingSA board has reinforced the partnership that exists between SASCOC as the parent organisation, and CyclingSA.

The second and final Cycling South Africa Youth Event for 2011 kicks off this Sunday (2nd October) and runs until Thursday 6th October at the Gariep Dam in the Free State, about 30 km north east of Colesburg.
