South African 2012 Olympic hopefuls Sifiso ‘Skizo’ Nhlapo and Teagan O’Keeffe were dealt a rough challenge in the Netherlands last weekend at the third round of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup series in Papendal.

Sifiso ‘Skizo’ Nhlapo (MTN Qhubeka) made it two from two as he raced to victory in the drama filled SA National BMX Championships second leg which, when combined with his win in Saturday’s first leg, saw him crowned the elite men’s national champ at Alexandra Park BMX track on Sunday.

South Africa’s BMX superstar Sifiso Nhlapo (MTN Cycling) powered his way to victory in the first of two legs of the SA National BMX Championships at Alexandra Park BMX track on day three of the CSA KZN All Africa Challenge.

It was an action-packed weekend of superlative BMX racing when the country’s best gathered at the Alrode BMX Club track in Gauteng for the season finale - the final leg of the SA National BMX Champs and the once-off SA Grand National BMX Champs (8th and 9th October).
